A. Inspection and operation before releasing the lifeboat
1. Check and confirm that the bottom plug of the boat has been properly plugged.
2. Check that the quick remote decoupling device is in the correct locking state and the safety function is effective.
3. Confirm that the end of the remote control release rope on the lifeboat is inside the lifeboat and ensure that there are no knots on the part of the remote control rope inside the lifeboat.
4. Disconnect the charging cable and turn the battery switch to the power supply position.
5. Check the fuel and cooling water levels, and the fuel shut-off valve should be in the "open" position.
6. Before releasing the lifeboat, confirm the surroundings of the boat, winch, and hanger, and check if there are any obstacles on the sea surface in the lowering area that may harm passengers and the boat, and eliminate or avoid them.
7. Confirm that the bow cable of the boat is connected to the quick release device of the bow, with one end connected to the deck of the mother ship.
B. Releaseing inside the lifeboats
Steps for releasing lifeboats/rescue boats by maneuvering inside the boat (during the unhooking surface operation exercise, the number of people under the boat should be controlled between 3-6)
1. Use a hand crank to tighten the boat sling until the sling is under force and bears the full weight of the lifeboat (at this point, the T-shaped block is detached from the top of the boat frame, and the T-shaped block is not under force).
2. Open the middle fixed boat rope and the brake lever of the lifting arm on the front and rear boat frames.
3. Press the brake handle to ensure safety, and pull out the brake handle safety pin.
4. All passengers should wear life jackets and safety helmets, quickly and orderly board the boat under the command of someone, sit symmetrically on both sides of the boat, and fasten their seat belts
5. After confirming that all crew members are seated safely, the lifeboat operator pulls down and controls the remote control release cable inside the boat to lower the lifeboat to the surface. Start the boat engine to run unloaded before lowering to the water surface.
6. After the lifeboat is lowered to the water surface, release the release cable, and the water pressure release interlock device will automatically open (if it cannot be automatically opened, manually lift it up and open it); First, operate and open the decoupling safety handle; Then pull out the safety latch of the unhooking handle, pull back the unhooking handle, and confirm that the boat is unhooked before and after.
7. Seat the crew at the bow of the lifeboat to operate the remote control release device for the bow cable, remove the bow cable (if the remote release fails, use a hatchet to cut the bow cable), and quickly drive the lifeboat away from the mother ship to a safe area for rescue.
8. When abandoning the ship, in order to facilitate maneuvering and increase speed, the protective device outside the boat can be disengaged and abandoned during the operation inside the boat. Be careful not to be touched by the propeller, but do not detach and abandon during the exercise operation.
C. Releasig from outside of the lifeboat
Steps for operating and releasing lifeboats/rescue boats on board (during the unhooking surface operation exercise, the number of personnel under the boat should be controlled between 3-6)
1. Use a hand crank to tighten the boat sling until the sling is under force and bears the full weight of the lifeboat (at this point, the T-shaped block is detached from the top of the boat frame, and the T-shaped block is not under force).
2. Open the middle fixed boat rope and the brake lever of the lifting arm on the front and rear boat racks, and place the boarding ladder for the personnel to board when leaving the boat.
3. Passengers should wear life jackets and safety helmets, quickly and orderly board the life boat under the command of someone, sit symmetrically on both sides of the boat, and fasten their seat belts
4. Press the brake handle to ensure safety, and pull out the brake handle safety pin.
5. The life boat operator controls the remote control release of the life boat cable from the side of the mother ship to lower the boat to the surface. Before lowering to the water surface, start the boat engine inside the boat to operate without load.
6. When the life boat drops to the water surface, the life boat operator releases the remote control release cable, stops and controls the boat to continue landing. After the water pressure release interlock device is automatically opened (if it cannot be automatically opened, manually lift it up and open it); First, operate and open the decoupling safety handle; Then pull out the safety latch of the unhooking handle, pull back the unhooking handle, and confirm that the boat is unhooked before and after.
7. The ship retention operator steps down the boarding ladder and enters the boat. After all crew members board the boat, remove the bow cable (if remote control release fails, use a safety axe to cut the bow cable), and quickly drive the life boat away from the mother ship to a safe area for rescue.
