The launching appliance for free-fall lifeboat are specialized equipment for launching and recovering free-fall lifeboats. The appliance has completely changed the traditional way of launching lifeboats with boat fall from both sides of the ships. Instead, the lifeboats free fall into sea water from the slide of the appliance deviating from the course of the mother ships so that the ability of evacuating the ships in distress will increase. The appliance is the life saving and escape system which is the safest and more reliable internationally, the superiority of which in performance has been recognized by more and more shipowners.
The davit is composed of slide, hydraulic winch.

The davit had been approved by CCS, BV, ABS, DNV-GL, EC, MED.
The lifeboat can freely fall into water by opening the release mechanism from a position w ithin the life boat against a trim of up to 10 degree and a list of up to 20 degree.
The launching appliance is also cap able of pushing the fully laden lifeboat to full outboard position through the hydraulic cylinder &lower the lifeboat to water surface by the hydraulic winch against a trim of up to 2 degree and a list of up to 5 degree.
The launching appl iance may recover the lifeboat with 4 persons to stowed position from water surface when the ship is on even keel.
